Software requirements

This section describes the software requirements for using the DataServer.

Progress-supplied software

Your installation must have:

DataServer for MS SQL Server.
WebSpeed Transaction Server Release 10 or later or OpenEdge Release 10 or later.

Data-source server software

Your installation must have:

Microsoft SQL Server Version 7.0 or higher.

Data source client software

Your installation must have:

Client connectivity component software from your SQL Server installation.

ODBC software

Your installation might have:

An ODBC Driver for the version of Microsoft SQL Server you are using. (optional)
